My Neighbourhood

I live at Whampoa Garden in Hung Hom. I love this area very much because there are many restaurants. I can try different types of food in different restaurants. My parents also love this area because there are about 5 big shopping centres and my mother can buy all her groceries anywhere.

There also is a club named Sport Light Club that my father and I have joined before. The club has a swimming pool, badminton courts, tennis courts, table-tennis courts, a golf court, a maze, a gymnasium etc. So my father and I often do exercise there.

My grandfather also enjoys this area because he can go to have dim sum in his favourite restaurants. He always goes to the park because there are some chairs. So he can sit there and just relax.

I really like this area especially because the air is fresh and clean with many trees and flowers here.

Tips for listening

You have exams or tests every year at school and in the exams, will have Chinese and English listening tests. I want to share some tips for listening.

First you will have a few seconds or minutes to look at the questions. You have to look at all the questions and remember most of them. Then when you listen to the content, you can answer it quickly. But when you can't remember the questions or contents, you can use a piece of white paper to mark down some important sentences and words. So you can find out the answers by using the important sentences and words.

You should pay attention while you are listening. And you will get higher marks.

A reply letter to Tommy

Dear Tommy,

This is Jerry. I am glad to receive your letter.

We haven't seen for a year. Are you still tall? Are you stillthin? Are you so short? I can't think about it.

I am glad you can share about your school life with me. You said you class teacher is Miss Wong and there are twenty boys and ten girls in you class. I hope you will be good friends. Let's talk about my school life! My class teacher is Miss Chan. She is very kind with us. In our class there are thirty boys without girl. Our relationship is really good.

Do you get good marks in you final exam? I 'm really unhappy about my exam's result. I got poor marks on it. Luckily all the subjects are pass. I must be more hardworking and be careful when I am doing my test or exam papers.

Do you free on Saturday. I want to go shopping with you and go to the cinema to watch a movie. Please write back me to confirm that you are free or not.

My Trip to France and Spain( The first day)

In the blog "My Summer Holiday Plan" I said that I will go to France and Spain from 21st July to 28th July. I have just been there and I want to share the trip with you.

Firstly we went to France. We travelled to Paris by plane and it took about twelve hours. It's really boring on the plane. When we arrived there, we collected our luggage and called a taxi to go to the town. We checked in at our hotel which was called Holiday Inn. The staff told us where the Chinese restaurants were and taught us how to use the Metro.

We took The Metro (MTR) to the restaurants. I think I have to compare the Hong Kong's MTR and Paris' Metro! Firstly there isn't any air conditioning in the Metro. Secondly, the seats are very old. Thirdly, when you press a button, the door will open instead of being controled by a computer!

When we arrived at a Chinese restaurant, we had something to eat. My parents ate some Chinese noodles and I ate a plate of BBQ pork chop rice. After that we took the Metro back to the hotel. I met my friends at the hotel and my mum told me we will join together to go to Paris and Bracelona.

Our friends were very hungry because they hadn't eaten anything, so we used the Metro to find a French restaurant. At last we found a restaurant. (I'm sorry that I forgotten the name) I ate some steak and seafood such as prawns. I also ate some sweet waffles for my dessert. I liked that meal very much!

Then, we walked around some streets and did some windowshopping.

Later on, We went to an observation tower and enjoyed the view. I could see all over Paris even The Effiel Tower. It was beautiful! After that we walked to the city and I saw a big church there. The bell rang when I walked near to it.

At night we had dinner at a restaurant nearby the hotel. I found that even though it was nine o' clock at night, the sun was still shinning brightly!

We went to the hotel at eleven o'clock and slept at midnight.

PS: this is just the first day only, don't miss reading about the activities on the second, third, forth and the fifth day in Paris.
