On 22th July to 26th July,I went to Singapore with my parents, my cousin Peter and his mum. Since it was my first time to Singapore, I was very excited.
Day One: I arrived at Hong Kong International Airport at noon and met my cousin Peter and his mum, then we boarded the plane at about half past one. There is no time difference between Hong Kong and Singapore so we arrived there at about half past four.
On arrival, we took a taxi to Sentosa Island and stayed in a hotel called Beaufort. After that we put our luggage into our room , we left the hotel and took a free shuttle bus to Vivo City, which is a shopping centre. It had a food court and we had dinner there. I tried Singapore's national dish, La Sha, it was quite spicy but really delicious!
Day Two: After having breakfast in the hotel, we took a yellow-line shuttle bus to the Imbiah Station. We travelled by the mini metro to Waterfront Station. I laughed when I saw that the distance from Imbiah Station to Waterfront Station which was only 200 metres, it took us 20 seconds to arrive there, I could even see Imbiah Station from Waterfront Station!
Singapore Universal Studio is located at Waterfront Station. It was not too crowded inside so I could ride on the thrilling rollercoaster. Unforunately, the biggest and the most exciting rollercoaster was closed! I was so disapointed!
After having lunch, we returned to the theme park again to play on other rides, compared to the Japan's Universal Studio, it is much smaller. When I was leaving, I saw two members of staff at the entrance who kicked some rubbish to each other. In Singapore, if anyone throw rubbish, there is a penalty of 500 dollars. In the evening time, we went to Vivo City again and had dinner with my mum's previous company colleauges.
Day 3: We went to Imbiah Station again and there was some mini rides. Participants had to pay and lined up. We chose three rides, they were the car ride, magazip, and the shooting game. Firstly we rode on the car ride, I couldn't controll my car well and nearly crashed into others. You know, bumping into others would be really painful! I controlled well during the second time and it was fantastic! Then we went shooting in a gallery and there were 15 other participants. I got 68 marks and I was in the forth place. My cousin Peter only scored 22 marks but he was not the last. The worst partcipant only scored 2 marks and her face was shown on the screen and I thought she was really ashamed and embarrased.
The Magazip is the most wonderful ride of all. Firstly we walked up a hill and had to wear a lot of heavy equipment. Then we walked again up to a tower. This is the highest place on the hill. Participants have to follow the staff's instructions and the staff will help them to tie the equipment to the ropes. Partcipants only need to take a photo before they slid down to the beach under the hill( I think it is 60 metres high) and hold on tightly. My cousin and I were the last partcipants to slide down. While waiting, I saw other partcipants who joined the parajump. The workers used a rope to tie the participants heavy equipment. The first one was a teenager, who joined with his friends. He was very afraid that he didn't want to jump. All the other participants encouraged him and clapped and applauded him. Finally the staff pushed him and he jumped down safely with a smile. When we slid down and arrived at the beach, where we met our parents and left Sentosa Beach and set off to the city and stayed at Sheriton Hotel.
